Wayne Riggs born in California, raised in the mid-west, is a photographer and abstract watercolorist whose works are to be found in the collections of important museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York,The High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia and The Tampa Museum of Art in Tampa Florida. His work in the abstract goes back to the late 1970's that evolved from photography into mixed media, watercolor and gouache on paper in the mid 1980's. Today he primary works in watercolor and gouache on paper and deals with the concepts of macrocosm, microcosm as well as randomness and order.
